The Expand To New Tracks By Timecode Only command lets you expand an entire track or only selected clips to new playlists on the same track or to new separate tracks, thus revealing all other clips recorded at the same timecode location, regardless of channel name or number. This is especially useful when expanding edited guide tracks to original source audio that was recorded while referenced to timecode, but where channel names or numbers were not written to the audio files.
When finding matches by timecode only, Pro Tools will reference both Original Time Stamp and Sound Roll Timecode. If a cross-match is found between Tape and Sound Roll Name (or vice versa) Pro Tools will also look for cross-matches between Original Time Stamp and Sound Roll Timecode.
